Maintenance: DC5 – ACI Hardware & Software Upgrade

As part of our commitment to quality and continual improvement, iomart will be carrying out maintenance on Wednesday, 12th February 2025. The work will specifically involve the network in Data Centre Maidenhead (DC5). We are writing to inform you of our intention to carry out this maintenance.

What will happen? During the maintenance window the resilient Data Centre Switching Fabric in DC5 will be upgraded.

When will the work be carried out? The maintenance work will commence at 21:00 (GMT) on Wednesday, 12th February 2025 and last until 01:00 (GMT) on Thursday, 13th February 2025.

Who will be completing the work? All updates to the DC5 devices will be carried out by our iomart network team.

Will I experience downtime? Due to multiple levels of resiliency in the DC5 Data Centre Switching Fabric there is no expected downtime to services within DC5.

Scheduled Maintenance: UK Route Reflector Replacement

As part of our commitment to quality and continual improvement, we will be carrying out activity within our UK network, specifically we will be conducting hardware replacement of a Route Reflector in the core network.

What will happen? Our network engineering team will perform this work and although we expect no interruption to service, however as with any maintenance there is an element of risk.

When will the work be carried out? The maintenance work will begin at 22:00 (GMT) on Tuesday, 18th February and last until 03:00(GMT) on Wednesday, 19th February.

Who will be completing the work? Our experienced iomart network and infrastructure team will handle all the work.

Will I experience downtime? As with any maintenance work, there is an increased risk to services, however the network is resilient and the iomart team are not expecting interruption to services.

Customers should consider their services to be “at risk” for the entire duration of the maintenance window.

Email Platform Email Deliverability - Sporadic issues.

Email Delivery Issues: We are aware of some email deliverability issues occurring outside of the Hosting UK network. We are actively collaborating with Microsoft to address these issues and mitigate them as much as possible.

Top Tip: If you regularly communicate with anyone, please encourage them to whitelist your email address.

Network Switch Maintenance

During the week commencing 29th January 2024 we will be performing maintenance on our Top-Of-Rack Network Switches within our DC8 datacentre.

On each weekday 29th - 2nd there will be a maintenance window between 23:00 and 02:00, where we will replace switches with new models. During this window a a short period of downtime, not exceeding 15 minutes may be observed while these replacements are completed.
